Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase received The Associated Press Offensive Rookie of the Year Award for the 2021 NFL season, finishing ahead of former Alabama standout Mac Jones, the New England Patriots quarterback.
Chase received 42 of the 50 votes from a nationwide panel of media members. Jones finished second with five votes. Kansas City Chiefs center Creed Humphrey got two votes, and Los Angeles Chargers offensive tackle Rashawn Slater received one vote.
The award was presented on Thursday at the NFL Honors program in Los Angeles.
The fifth player picked in the 2021 NFL Draft, Chase had 81 receptions for 1,455 yards and 13 touchdowns during the regular season.
