Longtime Patriots center David Andrews retires after 10 seasons

Longtime Patriots offensive lineman David Andrews is retiring, the team announced on social media Wednesday afternoon.

There is a press conference scheduled for Monday, June 2, at 3:30 p.m. at Gillette Stadium.

Andrews, 32, played his entire decade-long career with the Patriots after signing as an undrafted free-agent out of Georgia ahead of the 2015 season. He eventually emerged as the team’s starting center.

He was a member of two Super Bowl championship teams, and was a team captain for multiple seasons.

The Patriots released Andrews in March.
