FOXBORO – There was no drama surrounding J.C. Jackson’s offseason. Coming off a career year, the cornerback was a restricted free agent. After the Patriots placed a second-round tender on Jackson, he didn’t waste much time before signing that one-year deal to return to Foxboro.
Jackson said he didn’t talk to any other teams during his brief restricted free agency period and it all worked out like he thought it would.
“I mean, I had a feeling they were going to tender me anyway. I wasn’t expecting no contract extension yet,” Jackson said. “It just gives me another year to get better and improve myself, actually.
