FOXBOROUGH — Kyle Dugger is listed at exactly 100 pounds lighter than Ikem Ekwonu.
That didn’t stop Dugger from knocking the No. 6 overall pick on his back in New England’s 20-10 win over the Panthers on Friday night. On a 3rd-and-3 early in the first quarter, Carolina ran a toss to Chuba Hubbard and Ekwonu pulled out in front to lead the way.
“I saw Dug lining him up the whole play,” said Adrian Phillips, who was watching from the sideline.
When he arrived, Dugger needed to make a bang-bang decision. He opted to lower his shoulder.
