FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman grew up in Redwood City, California, which makes Sunday’s road game against the San Francisco 49ers a homecoming for him.
“It’s going to be pretty exciting,” Edelman said Wednesday before practice. “The new place is no Candlestick [Park], but it will be pretty fun to go back and get to play in front of some friends and family. Going to Santa Clara, going to Great America my whole life, it will be cool.”
Great America is a 100-acre amusement park located in Santa Clara, which is also the location of Levi’s Stadium, which opened in 2014.
