Josh Gordon's Super Bowl LIII ring sells for $138,000 at auction

Former New England Patriots receiver Josh Gordon was willing to part ways with an important part of his career over the weekend. Gordon’s Super Bowl LIII ring sold for $138,000 at an auction Sunday.

The ring was sold through Heritage Auctions, and it wasn’t the only major piece of sports memorabilia up for purchase. A Michael Jordan rookie card sold for $420,000 and a Mickey Mantle bat sold for $288,000.

The Gordon ring, however, stands out, as Gordon didn’t even play in Super Bowl LIII. He was suspended by the NFL in December.
