Joe Flacco has made five regular-season starts against the Patriots in his career, and four more in postseason play.
Monday’s game will mark his first appearance against them without Tom Brady as the opposing quarterback.
The 35-year-old Flacco is expected to start in place of Sam Darnold (shoulder) as the Jets (0-8) seek their first win against the Cam Newton-led Patriots — with Brady now thriving with the Buccaneers.
“I think it’s more strange to see Tom probably in a different uniform than it is to see them without him,” Flacco said Saturday. “But yeah, for sure, it’s definitely something that we’ve all been used to, and really, it kind of seems like my whole life, that’s how it’s been.
