Rex Burkhead said Friday on WEEI’s Ordway, Merloni and Fauria he was impressed by how quickly quarterback Jarrett Stidham picked up the Patriots offense as a rookie last year.
Stidham is the top candidate to take over as Patriots starting quarterback with Tom Brady gone. Brady signed a two-year contract with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after 20 years and six Super Bowl titles in New England.
“Last year, even though he didn’t step on the field that much, just seeing his improvement every day on the practice field, in meetings," Burkhead told OMF.
