Jaguars' Leonard Fournette involved in car accident, but not injured

Jacksonville Jaguars running back Leonard Fournette was involved in a car accident on Tuesday, but the rookie was not injured.

WJXT reporter Elizabeth Campbell tweeted that Fournette was in a three-car chain-reaction crash on Route 295 in Jacksonville, near the South Dames Point Bridge. No one was hurt in the incident, and Fournette is not at fault.

The Jaguars’ head of public relations, Tad Dickman, acknowledged the accident, saying Fournette was rear-ended. But the Louisiana native, who turns 23 on Thursday, was able to drive himself home after.

The Jaguars will play the New England Patriots in the AFC championship on Sunday; given that, and given Fournette’s performance against the Steelers last weekend to help his team win, there are some clever responses under Dickman’s tweet as to who might (or might not) have hit Fournette.
