Patriots defensive tackle Terrance Knighton is used to making tough choices that carry the burden of long-term implications.
“When you’re born in Connecticut, I think at birth you have a choice, either Yankees or Red Sox,” Knighton said yesterday in a conference call. “And I chose to go with Boston, so I’m a big Boston Celtics fan, Red Sox, Bruins, (and) obviously a Patriots fan growing up.”
Last week, Knighton had to choose between the Patriots and re-signing with the Redskins, and he also made the conscious decision this offseason to get himself in better shape. With all of that coming together, the Pats might have gotten a bargain with a one-year, $1.
