Here's when Patriots pick again Friday after taking QB in first round

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. —

The New England Patriots made their highest draft pick in more than 30 years during the first round of the 2024 NFL draft Thursday night.

The Patriots selected quarterback Drake Maye from the University of North Carolina with the third overall pick after they finished the 2023 season with a 4-13 record.

The last time New England held a higher draft pick was in 1993, when the Pats selected quarterback Drew Bledsoe with the No. 1 overall pick following a 2-14 season.

The NFL draft resumes Friday with the second and third rounds.
