An underwhelming offensive coordinator search for the New England Patriots could be close to ending with Los Angeles Rams tight ends coach Nick Caley reportedly emerging as the frontrunner for the job.
The Boston Herald’s Andrew Callahan reported the news on Wednesday night.
Per Callahan, Caley is the “first finalist” for the the vacant offensive coordinator position in New England, which has exceeded 10 interviews with various candidates.
“So Nick Caley, I reported earlier tonight, is the first finalist for the Patriots’ offensive coordinator job,” said Callahan. “What it means is he is closer to either getting an offer or having one already than any of the other candidates.
