The New England Patriots could be in for a third wide receiver who used to play quarterback.
In an interview with TMZ Sports, free agent wide receiver Terrelle Pryor said he has spoken to multiple NFL teams about a possible comeback, noting that he “spoke to the Patriots last week, I believe.”
Pryor described the Patriots and Pittsburgh Steelers as two very intriguing” options. He noted the Patriots’ acquisition of Cam Newton was of particular interest for him saying that he’s “been a big fan of him throughout the years.”
The news comes as a significant step in the 31-year-old’s effort to return to the NFL following a stabbing that left him in critical condition last November.
