The Miami Dolphins need to address their tight end position this offseason and they might be looking to add a former New England Patriots player.
Tight end Jonnu Smith visited the Dolphins on Tuesday, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported, adding Smith and Miami were in “contract negotiations.” The 29-year-old was released by the Atlanta Falcons last week ahead of the new league year, which begins March 13.
Smith signed a three-year deal with the New England Patriots in 2021 and his time with the organization was underwhelming. The tight end amassed just 55 catches for 539 receiving yards and one touchdown.
