Former Patriots QB Jarrett Stidham runs for TD in Raiders debut: ‘I hadn’t played football ... for quite a while’

The last time Jarrett Stidham played real, live, actual NFL football, guys like Damiere Byrd and Donte Moncrief were still catching passes for the New England Patriots.

That all changed Thursday night as the Las Vegas Raiders quarterback made his debut with his new team against the Jacksonville Jaguars in the 2022 Hall of Fame Game. With starting QB Derek Carr sitting out, Stidham saw the bulk of the snaps for Vegas.

Stidham had an up-and-down performance, finishing 8-of-15 passing for 96 yards. He was sacked three times, but did balance that out with a 12-yard scramble for a touchdown in the second quarter.
