The Jerod Mayo succession plan was a long time coming, Cam Newton says.
In a recent video on his YouTube show, “4th & 1,” the former New England Patriots quarterback reacted to the team’s decision to hire Jerod Mayo as the next head coach. Newton says that he doesn’t expect the culture in New England to change under Mayo.
“The culture’s not gonna change. Jerod Mayo is solidified and has all right to be the next person in charge. Hell, when I was there, I knew he was going to be the next (coach).
