Former New England Patriots wide receiver Jakobi Meyers has reportedly requested a trade from the Las Vegas Raiders. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero reported the news on Monday.
Meyes began his career with the Patriots as an undrafted rookie in 2019. He was the team's leading receiver for three straight seasons. At the time, the Patriots made the decision to sign JuJu Smith-Schuster, while Meyers signed a three-year, $32 million deal with the Raiders in March 2023.
Meyers has been a key piece of the Raiders' offense since his arrival. He recorded 71 catches for 807 yards and eight touchdowns in 2023 and a career-high 87 receptions for 1,027 yards and four touchdowns last year.
