What happened in the game tonight? Here’s everything I think you should know about the New England Patriots’ 20-9 loss to the Houston Texans in their preseason opener:
- A fourth-quarter surprise: Malik Cunningham in at quarterback. He’s been playing receiver for the Patriots so far, but got some run behind center late in this game, showcasing his skills as a runner.
- Apparently, it’s a penalty to grab a quarterback’s facemask and rip his helmet off when he’s trying to run. Fortunately, the refs remembered that when it happened to Cunningham.
