A former Nebraska football player scored his first preseason touchdown on Thursday night. Tight end Thomas Fidone caught a three-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Tommy DeVito in the New York Giants' 42-10 victory over the New England Patriots.
Fidone finished the game with four receptions for 39 yards and a long of 28 yards off of five targets. The Council Bluffs native is entering his rookie season with the Giants after being selected in the seventh round of the 2025 NFL draft. He starts his professional career after three seasons with the Cornhuskers.
