Waived by the Tennessee Titans on Sunday, Philip Blidi returned to the NFL on Tuesday, when the New England Patriots announced the signing of the former Auburn defensive tackle.
Blidi signed with the Titans on May 9 after being passed over during the 2025 draft.
Blidi played 12 defensive snaps in the Titans’ preseason opener – a 29-7 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Aug. 9 – but he did not play on Friday night in Tennessee’s 23-20 preseason victory over the Atlanta Falcons.
New England signed Blidi after he cleared waivers on Monday.
