FALL RIVER, Mass. (AP) -- The fiancee of former New England Patriots star and convicted murderer Aaron Hernandez is due in a Massachusetts courtroom for a hearing on a perjury charge, which prosecutors are asking a judge to dismiss.
Shayanna Jenkins is scheduled for a 9 a.m. hearing Friday in Superior Court in Fall River.
Prosecutors filed a motion to dismiss the perjury case Thursday, citing Jenkins' testimony against Hernandez in March. The former Patriots tight end was convicted and sentenced to life in prison last month in the killing of Odin Lloyd, who was dating Jenkins' sister.
