The New England Patriots were well-represented in ESPN’s “All Quarter Century” team released Wednesday.
ESPN’s Aaron Schatz and Seth Walder worked together to put what they believed to be the best 53-man roster (plus a practice squad) based on players’ contributions so far in the 21st Century. They also picked a head coach and two coordinators.
It should come as little shock that Tom Brady made the list. However, he wasn’t alone. Seven former Patriots were named on the list:
- Quarterback Tom Brady
- Wide receiver Randy Moss
- Tight end Rob Gronkowski
- Nose tackle Vince Wilfork
- Cornerback Darrelle Revis
- Special teamer Matthew Slater
- Head coach Bill Belichick
Most of the players listed (Brady, Gronkowski, Slater, Wilfork) are best known for their time on the Patriots.
