Eagles, Patriots propose changes for extra points (Shutdown Corner)

When the NFL owners hold their spring meetings in San Francisco next weekend, three proposals to change the extra point will be discussed.

The NFL competition committee, New England Patriots and Philadelphia Eagles all have varying proposals on the table.

According to the Associated Press, both the Patriots and Eagles want the one-point extra point kick moved back to the 15-yard line (resulting in a 32 or 33-yard try) instead of the 2-yard line as it currently stands. Additionally, the Eagles want the ball moved up to the 1-yard-line for 2-point conversions.
