Dunkin’ Donuts accidentally served Philadelphia Eagles cups to customers in Massachusetts

Another NFL season is poised to kick off, and that means New England Patriots can look ahead, and put the team’s Super Bowl LII loss behind them. However, some local Dunkin’ Donuts customers were served a bitter reminder of that defeat.

The Canton-based coffee chain recently shipped cups bearing the Philadelphia Eagles logo to some Massachusetts stores by accident. As the Sun Chronicle first reported last week, the mistake caught Attleborough resident Patti Panzer by surprise.

“This must be a joke,” Panzer wrote in a post on a local Facebook group, with a photo of the cup proclaiming the homegrown company to be the “official coffee of the Philadelphia Eagles” — just below the phrase “World Champions.
