New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye is not blaming his receivers for Sunday’s performance against the Las Vegas Raiders.
The wide receiver unit actually put up some decent numbers against a tough Raiders defense. For instance, Kayshon Boutte had six catches for 103 yards, averaging 17.2 yards per catch. Stefon Diggs had six catches for 57 yards in his debut as a Patriot.
Maye had an up-and-down day, going 30-of-46 passing for 287 yards, a touchdown and an interception. The quarterback and the offense in general struggled to move the ball down the field. This played right into the hands of the Raiders' defense.
