The Patriots' 2024 season was one fans would rather forget for a number of reasons, and unfortunately, that includes more than just what we saw on the field. Besides their lackluster performances that led to another 4-13 season and Jerod Mayo's departure, there was also a lot of drama behind the scenes, with even rumors of a mutiny at one point later in the year.
Among the most headline-creating stories was the alleged tension in the quarterback room due to rookie Joe Milton's belief that he is a starting-caliber player in the league. Because fellow 2024 draft pick Drake Maye wasn't succeeding week in and week out, it was reported that Milton started to itch for his opportunity.
