Conan O'Brien to host 'NFL Honors' prior to Super Bowl 50 (Shutdown Corner)

The NFL has hosted its awards show the past few years in primetime the night before the Super Bowl and has made a little production of it. But the league has stepped up its host game a notch for this year in Santa Clara prior to Super Bowl 50.

This year's "NFL Honors" host is none other than Conan O'Brien, the NFL announced, and it's a big score for the league. The event will take place on Saturday, Feb. 6 and at at classic venue — the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco.

Nothing against past hosts such as Alec Baldwin and Seth Meyer, but O'Brien raises the bar a little.
