The dream of Terry McLaurin being traded to the New England Patriots is no more.
Not that anyone was expecting it to actually happen, but there was a long-shot hope that the Washington Commanders would lose a few brain cells and let their No. 1 offensive weapon walk out the door. But with the season around the corner, they made the smart move by signing the All-Pro wideout to a contract extension.
According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, it's a three-year, $96 million deal for McLaurin, who held in throughout training camp for a new deal.
