Kristian Wilkerson didn’t stay unemployed long.
A day after the Patriots released the 27-year-old receiver, the Indianapolis Colts claimed him.
The 2022 season was a lost one for Wilkerson, who was trying to earn a spot with the Patriots in training camp after stints on the team’s practice squad. Wilkerson suffered a head injury during a joint practice session with the Carolina Panthers in August during training camp. He took a big hit from Panther DB Kenny Robinson sparking a fight between the two teams.
The play ended Wilkerson’s season before Week 1.
