Coby Tippett will start his professional football career in the same place his father developed into an NFL Hall of Famer.
Tippett has earned an invitation to rookie minicamp from the New England Patriots. The announcement came via social media on Sunday afternoon from the University of Rhode Island, the program where Tippett has starred as a defensive back and punt returner over the last two seasons.

Tippett earned a pair of postseason honors from the Colonial Athletic Association after the 2021 campaign.
