Carlton Davis among three Patriots to pass physicals at start of training camp

The sidelined group has reduced by three for the New England Patriots.

Cornerback Carlton Davis, wide receiver Jeremiah Webb and linebacker Jahlani Tavai passed their physicals in time for Wednesday’s opening practice of training camp, per the transaction wire.

Each had been among the seven placed on the non-football injury and physically unable to perform lists as rookies, quarterbacks and rehabbing players reported back to Gillette Stadium.

Davis, 28, began the week on the NFI list. The veteran corner signed a three-year, $54 million contract in March following stops with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Detroit Lions.
