New York Giants fans have been waiting all summer for fourth-round pick Cam Skattebo to hit the playing field.
The former Arizona State battering ram of a running back had shown flashes of brilliance during the team's minicamp and early on in training camp before tweaking his hamstring, causing him to miss the Giants' first two preseason games.
Skattebo made his NFL debut on Thursday night in the Giants' 42-10 preseason walloping of the New England Patriots. His first touch was not a memorable one. He stumbled out of the gate.
Skattebo's teammates naturally didn't give him a pass.
