FOXBOROUGH — (Somehow) training camp has already come and gone.
With the Patriots’ opener two weeks away, the team ended their formal camp Sunday afternoon. MassLive attended all 12 sessions that were open to the media and there was plenty to be gleaned.
Here are 10 things that we learned this summer:
1. Cam runs away with QB battle
Though Bill Belichick hasn’t announced it, Cam Newton is clearly the frontrunner to start Week 1.
The competition that was hyped all summer never really got off the ground, as Jarrett Stidham was limited due to a hip injury and Brian Hoyer never looked like a true contender.
