Who says preseason doesn’t bring excitement? On Wednesday in Foxborough, things got heated between the New England Patriots and Washington Commanders, and Mike Vrabel took the worst of it.
The first-year Patriots head coach didn’t wait until Friday’s preseason opener to get involved. Vrabel found himself in the middle of a full-blown scuffle during joint practice and walked away with a bloody face to prove it.
According to multiple reports, the fight broke out when Patriots rookie running back TreVeyon Henderson and a blitzing Commanders defender started swinging after a play. Vrabel jumped into the fray to separate them, but the melee grew when more players, including Pats lineman Will Campbell, joined the pile.
