Bill Belichick interviewing another former Patriot for vacant offensive coordinator job

The New England Patriots are set to interview Arizona Cardinals’ associate head coach and wide receivers coach Shawn Jefferson for their offensive coordinator job. According to ESPN’s Josina Anderson, the interview is slated for Friday.

Jefferson has familiarity with Bill Belichick and the Patriots organization as a whole. He played in New England from 1996 through 1999, under the watchful eye of Bill Parcells.

Belichick was the assistant head coach and defensive backs coach under Parcells at the time. Both Belichick and Parcells went to the New York Jets after the 1996 season.

Jefferson adds to an offensive coordinator candidate list that keeps growing.
