After a difficult loss to the Miami Dolphins that pushed the Patriots out of playoff contention, the desire to see Stidham on the field dramatically increased. He’s a second-year quarterback that has unseen potential, and the final two games of the season without a playoff run would be the perfect time to see what he’s capable of.
Bill Belichick doesn’t feel that way — at least we believe he doesn’t. He’s repeatedly said that Newton was the team’s quarterback and he reiterated that fact while speaking with WEEI’s Lou Merloni.
