Earlier this month, New England Patriots safety Devin McCourty was named the Patriots nominee for the 2020 Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year award.
Considered one of the NFL’s most prestigious honors, the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award recognizes an NFL player for outstanding community service activities off the field, as well as excellence on the field.
“We are happy to nominate Devin McCourty for the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award,” said Patriots Chairman and CEO Robert Kraft last Thursday. “We are proud of Devin’s accomplishments on the field as a New England Patriot, but even more so of his character and his contributions in the community.
