The New England Patriots' offense got off to a sluggish start in Sunday's season-opening loss to the visiting Las Vegas Raiders.
Not even the return of legendary offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels could save the team from a 13-point performance riddled with mistakes and failed execution. Granted, there were moments when things were clicking, and it looked like a far more efficient offense than anything we saw last season.
And then it was right back to the same old headaches. A turnover here and a bad penalty there had the offense looking like it was on life support late in the game.
