Quarterback Cam Newton had another record-setting game, but he came up 1 yard short of delivering a victory for the New England Patriots on Sunday night.
Newton was tackled for a 1-yard loss on the final snap of the game after driving the Patriots 80 yards to the Seattle 1-yard line in 1:39. That allowed the Seahawks to hold on for a 35-30 victory as Russell Wilson threw five touchdown passes for Seattle.
Newton completed 30-of-44 passes for 397 yards with one touchdown and one interception and ran for 47 yards and two touchdowns on 11 carries.
