The New England Patriots are showing interest in free-agent wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins, according to ESPN’s Diana Russini.
Hopkins had a successful 2022 season, despite missing some time after serving a six-game suspension. He still managed to record 64 catches for 717 yards and two touchdowns.
Hopkins has been in the news recently in regards to the Patriots. Reporters asked Bill Belichick on Thursday for a comment on the free-agent wide receiver, but Belichick didn’t have much to offer.
Russini reported Thursday that New England is interested in the wideout. This would certainly be a major move for the organization with the Patriots still looking for a top-tier playmaker on the outside.
