Tom Brady will be a frequent inhabitant of the Patriots’ training room for at least the next two weeks.
The quarterback suffered a sprained right ankle Sunday during the 20-10 loss to the Miami Dolphins at Sun Life Stadium, but he will play Jan. 16 in the playoff opener at Gillette Stadium.
Brady went down in the second quarter when right tackle Marcus Cannon grabbed Ndamukong Suh’s facemask and forced the defensive lineman to tumble awkwardly into the quarterback’s right leg.
Brady didn’t miss a play until the Pats plugged in Jimmy Garoppolo for the final four snaps with a 10-point deficit.
