AFC contender lands recently released Patriots OL Jake Andrews

The Houston Texans announced they have claimed former New England Patriots offensive lineman Jake Andrews on waivers.

Andrews was one of six Patriots players released on Monday, following the 2025 NFL draft. The 2023 fourth-round draft pick out of Troy never had a real opportunity to make his mark in New England.

He was viewed as a potential long-term option at center behind legendary offensive lineman David Andrews, but things didn't turn out as originally envisioned. That's probably because the man with the original vision, Bill Belichick, was no longer coaching the team.
