5 things to watch at Patiots OTAs

The Patriots offseason workout program kicked into another gear on Monday.

This week marked the start of Phase 3 of the NFL offseason workout program. This is the most exciting time of the spring for the Patriots because it kickstarts organized training activities otherwise known as OTAs.

This is a four-week program where teams are allowed to have their offense and defense compete against one another. There’s no contact (tackling, blocking, etc.) allowed until training camp, but 11-on-11, 7-on-7, and 9-on-7 drills are permitted for the first time.

The Patriots have 10 total days of OTAs over the next three weeks.
