5 teams that make sense for a possible Mac Jones trade

The end of Mac Jones’s time in New England seems all but official.

The Patriots are “open” to trading the quarterback, who has interest on the market, NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport reported Friday.

It’s been reported since the end of the season that Jones’s situation with the team was trending toward the team cutting ties with the quarterback. Jones’s disappointing play was a major reason why the Patriots finished with one of the league’s worst offenses and records. He threw for 2,120 yards, 10 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions, getting benched in four games before Bailey Zappe replaced him for good in Week 13.
