A week before the New England Patriots' preseason opener, the team held a dress rehearsal scrimmage at Gillette Stadium on Friday.
The roster was split into Team White and Team Blue for the matchup. Inside linebackers coach Zak Kuhr served as the coach for the blue team, while the white team was led by offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels.
Drake Maye, Christian Elliss and Jaylinn Hawkins captained the white team, and Hunter Henry, Jabrill Peppers and Brenden Schooler were the blue team captains. The hope was to make it feel as close to a real game as possible.
