4 standouts from Day 5 of Patriots training camp practice

The New England Patriots put on the pads for the first time at training camp on Monday.

There wasn't as much airing the ball out downfield in this practice setting. The focus for the Patriots' offense was predominantly in the run game and red zone work. It's no surprise that the team wanted to focus on the battles in the trenches at their first padded practice.

There was some strong competitive reps between veteran edge rusher Keion White and rookie offensive tackle Will Campbell in particular. Campbell will be tasked with protecting Drake Maye's blindside this season, while White is a top candidate to emerge as a premier sack artist for New England.
