Here Are 3 QBs The New England Patriots Could Select In The 2018 NFL Draft

The Patriots rumors surrounding if the New England Patriots will select a quarterback in the 2018 NFL Draft continue to grow. This is especially true with the news from ESPN's Adam Schefter reporting today that former Patriots' linebacker Tedy Bruschi said he would be “shocked” if New England didn’t draft a quarterback in the first two rounds of the 2018 NFL Draft. Tom Brady is 41 years old and soon he will no longer be the man under center for the Patriots. New England traded Jimmy Garoppolo to the San Fransisco 49ers and Jacoby Brissett to the Indianapolis Colts this season, stripping them of any depth. In essence, New England went from having two solid backups to having an old veteran in Brian Hoyer.

Drafting a young and talented quarterback that can learn from Brady will benefit this team down the road. Here are three quarterbacks the Patriots could select in the 2018 NFL Draft:

3.) Luke Falk, Washington State Cougars

Falk might be one of the most accurate quarterbacks in this draft. Faulk is 6-foot-4 and does lack some arm strength, but it never slowed him down in college. In his college career, he holds a 28-15 record, while throwing for 14,481 yards, 119 touchdowns, and 39 interceptions.

2.) Mason Rudolph, QB, Oklahoma State Cowboys

If the Patriots decide to target their eventual replacement for Brady, Rudolph could be the guy they target. He has the size NFL teams covet, checking in at 6-foot-5, 235-pounds with functional mobility. He doesn't have the best arm in the class, but it's more than strong enough and he's best deep ball thrower in the group. He completed 65 percent of his passes for 4,904 yards, 37 touchdowns, and nine picks.

1.) Lamar Jackson, Louisville Cardinals

Why not Lamar Jackson? His athleticism is an obvious upside, along with his cannon for an arm. Jackson has been inconsistent with his accuracy, footwork, and reading defenses, but being able to learn under Brady and Belichick would make him a starting-caliber quarterback sooner rather than later.
