Second Man Arrested in Connection with Aaron Hernandez Murder Case

A second man was arrested in connection to the suspected Aaron Hernandez murder of Odin Lloyd, law enforcement confirmed to The Hartford Courant on Thursday morning.

Carlos Ortiz was arrested Wednesday in Bristol, Conn., Hernandez' hometown, and charged with being a "fugitive of justice." Ortiz had a parole hearing from an earlier arrest set for Wednesday. He waived his right to an extradition hearing and is currently being held on a $1.5 million bail. Like in the Hernandez case, a judge order that all records in Ortiz' case be sealed.

Ortiz is not believed to have been with Hernandez at the time of his suspected killing of Lloyd, but is thought to have met up with Hernandez at Hernandez' request later that night.
