Patriots NFL Draft Rumors: All The Names To Watch During Friday's Day Two

The New England Patriots may have picked up the steal of the 2015 NFL Draft on Thursday, plucking talent Texas defensive tackle Malcom Brown off the board with the 32nd and final pick of the first round.

The intrigue doesn't end there, however, as there's plenty of fun to come in Friday's rounds two and three. Here's the latest Patriots NFL Draft rumors coming out of Chicago.

Tre Jackson a top target?

Florida State guard Tre Jackson was widely considered one of the top prospects at the position in 2013, but he struggled at times throughout 2014 and saw his draft stock fall as a result

However, the 6-foot-4, 330-pound Jackson has the prototypical NFL frame for a guard and has a reputation as a fearsome blocker. The Patriots have been rumored by several sources to have interest in Jackson, perhaps emphasized by a reported pre-draft visit with him.

Keep an eye on him as the second round winds along.

Other names to watch

According to ESPN Patriots beat writer Mike Reiss, here are other potential New England second-round targets to watch: Florida State CB Ronald Darby, Oregon OT/OG Jake Fisher, Florida State WR Rashad Greene, Mississippi State LB Benardrick McKinney, Miami TE Clive Walford, Florida State DE/OLB/DT Mario Edwards Jr., LSU DE/OLB Danielle Hunter, and Ohio State DT Michael Bennett and Nebraska RB Ameer Abdullah.

Abdullah may be the most interesting name on that list for the Pats as he could easily be a younger, cheaper plug-and-play replacement for the departed Shane Vereen.
