UNLV raced out to a big lead early, then held on to take a 64-49 win over Nevada in women's basketball Saturday at Lawlor Events Center.
UNLV (20-8, 11-5 MW) led 25-10 after the first 10 minutes. UNLV held the Wolf Pack (10-17, 4-12 MW) scoreless for the final three minutes of the period while scoring 10 points.
With a free throw in the fourth quarter, T Moe moved into fourth in career free throws made at Nevada. She led the Pack in scoring and was the only Nevada player in double figures with 13 points. Sophomore Riana Everidge posted seven points and eight rebounds and needs five points to reach 500 for her Wolf Pack career.
